About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Due Diligence and Advisory. This is a key role within our organization, and the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading the planning and execution of operational due diligence engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Due Diligence: Develop an understanding of internal controls, performance and risk measurement activities, regulatory and compliance environment for external managers.
  • Risk Assessment: Deliver operational risk assessments to internal stakeholders, including the Director and MD, DDA, as well as the CFO, Investment teams, Legal and others as required.
  • Best Practices: Ensure best practices are reflected and augmented periodically within the Group to address emerging risks, new investment strategies, and other material developments.
  • Advisory Services: Provide value-added advisory services to internal and external stakeholders, including external fund operational infrastructure design and support, market infrastructure analysis, and strengthening internal oversight processes to reduce operational risk.
Requirements
  • Education: Relevant university degree(s) in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of professional work experience in a management role, with direct experience in the alternative investment industry an asset.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge and understanding of different public and private market investment strategies, public market infrastructure, and supporting operational processes and systems.
  • Leadership: Successful track record in leadership and people management, with experience in evaluating and improving internal control processes.
