Position Overview

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a similar role.
Work Environment

The role is set in a fast-paced supermarket or grocery store environment, specifically within the bakery section.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist customers by bagging, boxing, or parceling their purchases for delivery.
  • Retrieve items for customers from shelves or stockrooms.
  • Maintain organized and stocked shelves and display areas.
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of stock.
  • Price items accurately using stamps or stickers according to the price list.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Engage in order picking tasks.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and other baked goods.
Operational Focus

This position primarily involves baking and cooking, with a focus on bakery goods and desserts.

Work Conditions
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of working under pressure and managing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to handle heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods and engage in bending, crouching, and kneeling.
