Job Title: Site Superintendent

At National Rent-All Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to plan and coordinate construction activities
  • Coordinate the purchase and tracking of materials with the Project Manager
  • Attend and/or run site meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration with the project team
  • Maintain a daily log of project information and submit timely reports
  • Meet project schedules and budgets as presented by the Project Manager or Project Coordinator
  • Ensure projects are run efficiently to stay within budget while maintaining quality, including site safety, housekeeping, security, and equipment maintenance
  • Work with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to provide labor, subtrades, and materials
  • Supervise and instruct the on-site team and subcontractors
  • Educate site workers on safety regulations and accident protocol, and enforce site safety rules to minimize work-related accidents and injuries
  • Handle site accidents in accordance with established accident protocol
  • Prepare bi-weekly look-ahead schedules and review the overall project schedule with the Project Manager
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all contract documents, including drawings, specifications, site instructions, contracts, change orders, RFI's, consultants' reports, and safety documentation
Requirements:
  • 5 to 10 years of experience as a site supervisor
  • A solid grasp of building concepts and details
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • WHMIS, Fall Arrest, and First Aid Certification (required)
  • Strong team-building skills
  • Ability to work with all levels, from trades to owners, in a productive and professional manner
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to consistently achieve on-time and on-budget objectives
