About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Reporting Manager to join our team at goeasy Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Close Process: Lead the month-end financial statement close process, including consolidation, Canadian legal entity reporting, and management reporting processes, ensuring reporting deadlines are met and potential issues are resolved prior to closing the books.
  • Process Improvement: Develop procedures and processes to improve the efficiency and accuracy of consolidation.
  • Intercompany Transactions: Manage and ensure that proper processes are in place for the timely and accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
  • Corporate Accounting: Manage corporate accounting, including payroll and treasury accounting, among others.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform balance sheet and income statement analysis.
  • External Audits: Coordinate all interactions with external auditors to ensure support is provided and audit issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Regulatory Requirements: Provide support in preparing quarterly and annual regulatory requirements, including the preparation of note disclosures and shareholder materials.
  • Internal Controls: Support the CEO/CFO certification processes, including supporting the internal audit team in their control testing and identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Oversee the OneStream platform by managing and developing management reports and external financial reports within the platform.
  • Accounting Pronouncements: Keep abreast of new accounting pronouncements and analyze their impact.
  • Best Practices: Identify and implement best practices across finance functions.
  • Ad-Hoc Reports: Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses, as required.
Requirements
  • Professional Designation: CPA, CA designation or equivalent.
  • Public Accounting Experience: Experience in public accounting is an advantage.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Experience: 6+ years of experience in a finance role, including recent experience in accounting and consolidation, a minimum of 2 years of post-designation experience in a management capacity is an asset.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of IFRS, advanced proficiency in Microsoft D365, OneStream, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Soft Skills: Able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and work on and prioritize various deliverables, exceptional analytical and conceptual thinker.
