Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Biochemistry at the University of Guelph's Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology.

About the Position

This is a tenure-track position that will contribute to the department's research strengths in biochemistry and related fields. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an innovative and sustainable research program that integrates with and expands the department's research environment.

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry or a related field
  • Minimum of three years of postdoctoral experience in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated expertise in enzymology, structural biology, biophysics, or other relevant fields
  • Proven record of research excellence evident in high-quality publications
  • Potential to establish a competitive independent research program and secure external research funding
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain an innovative and sustainable research program
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in biochemistry
  • Mentor students and supervise research projects
  • Contribute to departmental and university service
