Position Overview

The role of the Food Service Supervisor involves overseeing the daily operations of food preparation and service, ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent program lasting 1 to 2 years.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and up to 2 years in a supervisory role within the food service industry.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff engaged in food preparation and portioning.
  • Provide training to staff regarding their job responsibilities, sanitation practices, and safety protocols.
  • Estimate the necessary ingredients and supplies for meal preparation.
  • Ensure that food quality and service standards are consistently met.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, repairs, sales, and waste management.
  • Prepare summaries of food orders for the chef.
  • Establish and manage work schedules for the team.
Work Environment

This position is permanent and requires a commitment of 35 to 40 hours per week. The primary language of work is English.
