Métis Crossing is Alberta’s first major Métis destination where we share and celebrate the Métis culture with all people With their unique designs that combine both traditional and contemporary Métis craftmanship, The Lodge and the Gathering Centre at Métis Crossing are special blends of comfort, culture, and Métis history. Directly adjacent to the Cultural Gathering Centre, our 40-room boutique Lodge offers scenic views overlooking the majestic North Saskatchewan River, the very route used by our Métis ancestors as they gathered here to trade. The Cultural Gathering Centre is the base for all our cultural and educational programs. The Lodge offers a Bistro for coffee and express breakfast, as well as a Lounge for cocktails and light snacks. Together they are an ideal location for corporate and government retreats as well as family gatherings.

Reporting to the Culinary Experience Manager, the temporary Culinary Guest Experience Supervisor will have the primary responsibility of coordinating events and providing all details to the Culinary Team (Front-of-House and Back-of-House). The temporary Culinary Guest Experience Supervisor will contribute to a legendary visitor experience through professional and thoughtful interaction with clients and visitors. Métis Crossing is designed to be an anchor Indigenous destination in Alberta, and this position will be an integral part of the small team tasked with achieving that end.

**Key Responsibilities**

As a key member of the Métis Crossing team, to work collaboratively with the Business Development and Operations Teams. The temporary Culinary Guest Experience Supervisor will ensure the events and coordination thereof are properly executed for both the Guest and the Culinary Experience Team. This position will focus on providing all details to the Operations Team for events and day-to-day service and accomplishing guest satisfaction.
- Prepare all Dailies and BEO’s for the Culinary Experience Team. Ensure that all information is provided in an understanding and timely manner to the Culinary Experience Team.
- Ensure a sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily Front-of-House staff needs record deliveries, deal with discrepancies, and assist with storage.
- Maintain and control liquor inventories.
- Provide support to events and large groups, to ensure all their needs are met on the day of the event.
- Assist the Culinary Experience Manager with activities such as budgeting, and revenue forecasting as required.
- Assist in weekly team schedule, and work with Culinary Experience Supervisor and Culinary Experience Manager to ensure that proper coverage is scheduled for all events and provide recommendations on staffing.
- Update and develop needed guidelines for culinary experience teams’ day-to-day tasks if Culinary Experience Supervisor is off duty.
- Assist in developing and maintaining systems to ensure Culinary Experience Teams' success.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Hospitality or Tourism background
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Prior supervising experience

**Other Requirements**
- Availability to work a flexible evening and weekend schedule as required.
- Political sensitivity and ability to deal with confidential information.
- Must have a driver’s license as well as an operational vehicle.
