Position: Property Claims Adjuster

We are seeking an Intermediate Property Adjuster to enhance our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with the investigation and adjustment of property claims, ensuring adherence to corporate policies and standards. This role is Hybrid, requiring field coverage as necessary.

The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality service, facilitating prompt and fair settlements of claims. Additionally, they will identify and pursue business development opportunities as they arise. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

The Independent Adjuster will actively manage claims while maximizing business development opportunities. This includes timely marketing and follow-up on potential leads. The role demands exceptional organizational skills to balance daily activities with effective file management.

To excel in this position, candidates should possess a background in Property claims. Key responsibilities include:

  • Timely communication and follow-up with policyholders and claimants
  • Investigating causes and providing clients with solid recommendations
  • Assessing and determining the extent of damages
  • Negotiating fair settlements
  • Completing assigned duties in accordance with established standards and procedures
Required Education, Knowledge, and Experience
  • 5-10 years of relevant claims experience
  • Eligibility for at least a level 1 AB Adjuster's license
  • Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify cause and effect
  • Effective investigative skills
  • Aptitude for drawing valid conclusions and communicating them clearly
  • Ability to interpret complex legal documents and perform advanced numerical calculations
Advanced Communication Skills Required
  • Proficient written communication skills, including technical writing
  • Strong oral communication skills, including listening, interviewing, and negotiating
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
