Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at 2466733 Ontario Inc. as a key member of our food service operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food quality meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities- Food Service Operations
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to ensure efficient inventory management and minimize waste.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, taking into account seasonal fluctuations and menu changes.
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, conducting regular quality checks and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Staff Management
- Prepare and submit reports on staff performance, including attendance, productivity, and quality of work.
- Establish work schedules and ensure that staff are adequately trained and equipped to perform their duties.
- Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, using this data to inform inventory management and menu planning decisions.
- Prepare and submit reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Team Player
- Work collaboratively with other departments, including kitchen, front-of-house, and management, to ensure seamless service delivery and achieve business objectives.
- Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for persons with disabilities, newcomers, and refugees, as well as other diverse groups.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a food service supervisory role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
