Position Overview:
The Sales Executive for Logistics Solutions is tasked with the business development of our logistics division. The ideal candidate will focus on identifying, cultivating, and pursuing sales opportunities while assessing client requirements. This role will primarily be office-based with travel as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, plan, and conduct in-person meetings with potential clients
- Maintain a robust commercial presence in the local market, participating in or presenting at regional events
- Generate new business, surpassing monthly volume and revenue objectives while expanding the client portfolio
- Stimulate demand by engaging with customers, nurturing relationships, and leveraging business opportunities
- Recognize growth potential within accounts, transitioning transactional interactions into committed partnerships
- Stay informed on customer, industry, and market developments to identify growth opportunities
- Analyze sales metrics to monitor performance and pinpoint areas for enhancement
- Maintain a solid understanding of client business segments and the solutions offered by competitors
- Convert sales leads into active clients by establishing strong connections, nurturing relationships, and thoroughly understanding customer needs to achieve optimal conversion rates
- Reconnect with inactive clients, fostering relationships and generating demand
- Implement pricing strategies through effective negotiation skills, market insight, and knowledge of customer purchasing behaviors
- Identify and analyze customer needs, developing tailored solutions to meet client expectations
- Ensure alignment with branch strategies in forecasting, business planning, and pipeline development
- Consult with various levels of decision-makers and influencers to comprehend customers' business challenges and supply chain objectives
- Assist in the creation of any standard operating procedures necessary for effective management of customer business
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience:
- Sales/Business Development in logistics (domestic and cross-border services)
- 3-5 years of experience in transportation sales
- 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operation sales
Education and Certifications:
- Degree in a relevant field preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong understanding of the sales planning process
- Proven B2B sales skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets
- Ability to analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify business opportunities
- Advanced knowledge of logistical concepts and supply chain terminology, particularly in international freight
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain strong attention to detail
