About the Opportunity
The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Anesthesiologist to join our team. As a staff member, you will be responsible for providing anesthetic care throughout the surgical and obstetric programs, including supervision and teaching of students, residents, and fellows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide anesthetic care in a variety of settings, including operating rooms, intensive care units, and pain management clinics
- Supervise and teach students, residents, and fellows in anesthesiology and pain management
- Participate in formal in-house and University teaching programs
- Contribute to hospital administrative duties and academic activities
- Facilitate research, teaching, and education by others
Requirements
- Medical degree and postgraduate fellowship training in anesthesiology
- Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Anesthesia (or equivalent)
- Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Proven clinical skills at a high level, evidence of demonstrated excellence in research and/or education, and a commitment to teaching
