Job Summary
The Division Manager is a key leadership role that requires a strong leader to promote an environment that supports excellence in care provision and staff empowerment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading an interdisciplinary team, building strong relationships with physician leads, measuring and monitoring care provision, and managing staff selection, development, and performance appraisal.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership and Team Management
- Lead an interdisciplinary team to achieve high-quality care and services
- Build strong relationships with physician leads to ensure effective collaboration
- Measure and monitor care provision to ensure excellence in care
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
- Select, develop, and motivate staff to achieve high performance
- Conduct performance appraisals to ensure staff are meeting expectations
- Manage change in a dynamic environment to ensure smooth transition
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A Baccalaureate Degree in a health-related discipline
- A Master's degree in the applicable area is preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last seven (7) in an adult acute care clinical setting
- Progressive leadership and/or management experience
- Knowledge of adult acute care services
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills focused on supporting and empowering members of the team
- Demonstrated strong critical thinking skills and innovation in problem-solving and decision making
- Demonstrated conflict management skills
- Demonstrated effective time management skills with the ability to manage tight timelines and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated strong financial stewardship
- Ability to work with a high degree of independence and initiative
- Ability to manage change and continuous quality improvement
