Job Description

Purpose and Scope

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the efficient and safe operation of assigned equipment and machinery, adhering to standard operating procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize chemicals and equipment in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
  • Ensure the use of safety equipment appropriate to the work site
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and maintain a clean environment to prevent contamination
  • Operate machinery safely, following proper lock-out procedures
  • Work with chemicals in compliance with WorkSafe BC regulations
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings and work in a safe manner
  • Implement established sanitation procedures for each area
  • Strive to align with the vision statement of Hain Celestial
  • Communicate concerns or deviations to supervisors in a timely manner
  • Report food safety issues to supervisors
  • Work in a professional and collaborative environment
  • All employees are responsible for maintaining food and safety quality
  • Report food safety and quality issues to personnel with authority to take action
  • Perform other duties as instructed by supervisors

Qualifications and Competencies

Required Skills

  • Ability to operate mixing equipment safely
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Capacity to make informed decisions based on activities in other departments
  • Knowledge to perform continuous quality checks of products
  • Required HACCP knowledge for assigned station
