Job Title: Dishwasher

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at KNAAR RESTAURANTS CORP. As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware
  • Load and unload buspans and trays
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
  • Scour pots and pans
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, cupboards, and appliances
  • Handle and store cleaning products
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and cupboards
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Sharpen kitchen knives
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
Support for Newcomers and Refugees:
  • Participate in a government or community program that supports newcomers and refugees
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs, such as housing, transportation, and storage
  • Support social and labor market integration through language training, skills training, and community resources
  • Recruit newcomers and refugees displaced by conflict or natural disaster
  • Support foreign credential recognition and offer mentorship programs
Support for Youths:
  • Participate in a government or community program that supports youth employment
  • Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth
  • Provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for youth
  • Offer awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
Support for Veterans:
  • Participate in a government or community program that supports Veterans
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Veterans
  • Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for Veterans
  • Offer flexible onboarding options to allow Veterans to gradually adapt to the civilian workplace
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Participate in a government or community program that supports Indigenous people
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
Support for Mature Workers:
  • Participate in a government or community program that supports mature workers
  • Apply hiring policies that discourage age discrimination
