Job Summary

This is a great opportunity for a recent or upcoming insurance program graduate who is looking to start their insurance career in commercial lines and become a commercial insurance broker:

You can look forward to receiving top-notch professional customer service training in partnership with our parent company: Navacord (one of Canada's largest and fastest-growing Insurance Brokerages) to hone in your broker skills and knowledge.

Assistance in obtaining the RIBO license will also be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Issue certificates of insurance for approval from Client Manager
  2. Generate/issue liability slips for renewals, endorsements, and new business
  3. Assist with processing documents: renewals, endorsements, and new business
  4. Generate applications/forms (e.g. SOV, Profits Worksheets etc.) as directed by the Client Manager
  5. Assist with the maintenance of the summary of insurance
  6. Update premium comparisons, summaries, executive summaries as directed by a Client Manager
  7. Input and update of claims and new clients information into EPIC
  8. Assist with performing Auto Quotes on Compu-Quote when required
  9. Assist with sending renewal requests to clients 100 days in advance as directed by the Client Manager
  10. Check policy documents against binders issued
  11. Assist with processing of mail and endorsements for the team
  12. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  1. R.I.B.O license is preferred
  2. Working towards C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designation
  3. Superb interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  4. Ability to be a self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills
  5. Advanced skills in Outlook, Excel, Word
