Job Overview:
The Senior Network Architect role demands a profound understanding of contemporary network technologies, broadband connectivity options, and network security. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience in designing and developing advanced network solutions, alongside expertise in software-defined networking (SDN) and network security implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert consultancy on the collection and analysis of network-related data within educational institutions.
- Design and implement modern network architectures and security frameworks.
- Analyze, configure, and troubleshoot SDN solutions effectively.
Required Skills:
- Network Technology:
- Minimum of 5 years of practical experience with network infrastructure technologies, including LAN/WAN, VPN, VLAN, and associated hardware (servers, switches, routers, firewalls).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SDN and SD-WAN technologies, particularly with Fortinet, Meraki, and Palo Alto.
- Network Security:
- 5+ years of experience in advanced SD network security measures.
- Proficient in next-generation firewalls and endpoint protection solutions.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Demonstrated ability to present effectively to management and external stakeholders.
- Educational Background:
- Preferred postgraduate degree in computer science or engineering.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or advanced networking qualifications.
Essential Qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with SDN and SD-WAN.
- Experience in data monitoring and management systems.
- Proficient in network traffic analysis tools and technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced SD network security.
- Experience with SASE platforms and solutions.
- Proven ability to prepare comprehensive written materials, including reports and recommendations.
- Experience in delivering technical solutions and training to public service sectors is preferred.
