About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Solution Architect to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Global Technology and Enterprise Platform (GTEP) organization, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing infrastructure solutions that support our business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical insights in the engineering and design of infrastructure solutions
  • Drive forward the bank's Public Cloud Acceleration strategy
  • Foster technical vitality across the Solutions Engineering team
  • Develop comprehensive plans to increase knowledge and skill level in public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings
  • Communicate ideas and recommendations on solutions to both business and technical audiences
Requirements
  • At least 8+ years of technical working experience in working closely with Application Teams
  • At least 4+ years of hands-on technical working experience in architecting and deploying full-stack applications in Public Cloud (GCP and Azure preferred)
  • At least 4+ years of hands-on technical working experience in the end-to-end design/planning/implementation of the migration of applications from an internal on-prem data center to the Public Cloud
  • At least 2+ years of hands-on technical working experience with Kubernetes (k8s), CI/CD pipeline, and the infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) toolset
