Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cabinet Installation Specialist to join our team at Walls Cabinetry Plus. This position offers a permanent employment opportunity in a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Work Environment
  • Engaged in construction and renovation projects
  • Work in various locations, including rural and urban areas
  • Relocation costs are not covered by the employer
  • Willingness to relocate is required
  • Experience in a custom cabinet shop is preferred
Key Responsibilities
  • Install prefabricated interior products with precision
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to assess work requirements
  • Plan layout and installation procedures effectively
  • Measure and mark guidelines for installations
  • Prepare and manage work materials and supplies
  • Load and unload equipment and supplies from trucks
  • Utilize hand and power tools efficiently
  • Employ laser alignment systems for accuracy
  • Ensure wood products meet specifications through careful measurement
  • Install hardware on furniture and fixtures, including knobs and hinges
  • Prepare specifications for custom-made cabinets to optimize storage solutions
Supervision

Oversee the work of kitchen cupboard and vanity installers.

Certifications
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate
Tools and Equipment
  • Experience with power tools and hand tools
  • Familiarity with laser leveling and aligning equipment
Specialization
  • Expertise in kitchen cabinets and vanities
  • Proficient in cabinet installation
Safety and Security
  • Driving record check required
Transportation Requirements
  • Must have own transportation
  • Willingness to travel is essential
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
  • Attention to detail is crucial
  • Must handle heavy loads and perform repetitive tasks
  • Weight handling capacity of up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and more
