Senior z/OS RACF Security Architect

Importance of This Position
The Critical Systems Engineering – Mainframe division is seeking a skilled z/OS RACF Security Architect. This pivotal role is responsible for setting strategic direction and providing oversight and governance to our service partners, including vendors that deliver mainframe IT Infrastructure services, while collaborating closely with operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and Maintain Role-Based Access Control Schemas
- Manage and Configure User Profiles
- Implement and Integrate Multi-Factor Authentication Solutions
- Enable and Manage Cryptographic Services
- Act as a liaison between Mainframe Engineering and Global Security
- Design and Oversee Automated Security Services
- Integrate RACF with Non-RACF Security Access Facility Products
- Support Systems Programmers in Infrastructure Modernization and Efficiency Initiatives
- Govern Change Management Processes, Reviewing Planned Changes for Impact and Timing
- Exhibit Advanced Troubleshooting Skills in a Global Mainframe Environment
- Collaborate with Application and Business Teams to Understand Client Requirements and Communicate Impacts on z/OS
- Guide Service Providers to Enhance Mainframe Security Operations and Performance
Education and Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive experience managing a z/OS RACF environment
- Knowledge of USS Security and RACF Integration
- Familiarity with Db2 Internal Security
- Understanding of CICS/MQ Security with RACF
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field with a minimum of 10 years of experience in z/OS infrastructure
- At least 5 years of experience in RACF oversight
- Strong customer service focus
- Experience in delivering IT services within a financial services context is highly desirable
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and collaboratively
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
