Job SummaryThe Farm Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall management of our farm operations, including animal health, feed inventory, farm machinery, and financial management. The successful candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, livestock production, and farm management.
Key Responsibilities- Animal Health: Monitor and maintain the health of our poultry flock, including vaccination programs and disease prevention.
- Feed Inventory: Manage the feed inventory, including ordering, storage, and distribution.
- Farm Machinery: Maintain and repair farm machinery, including tractors, plows, and other equipment.
- Financial Management: Manage the farm's financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and train farm staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including animal welfare and environmental regulations.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in farm management, livestock production, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
