Farm Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Manager to join our team at Dunphy's Poultry Farm Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our animals, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the overall operation of the farm, including animal care, feed inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Supervise a team of 5-10 staff members and/or volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Monitor animal health and implement measures to prevent disease and promote well-being.
  • Purchase and manage supplies, including machinery, livestock, seed, feed, and other essential items.
  • Maintain accurate financial and production records, providing regular reports to management.
  • Perform general farm duties, including handling animals, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in farm management or a related field is an asset.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to relocate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high levels of physical activity.
