The Rotman Research Institute (RRI) is a leading interdisciplinary center dedicated to the exploration of human brain function. We are seeking up to three exceptional research scientists who may be nominated as institutional candidates for a prestigious fellowship.

Our research initiatives focus on various cognitive processes, including memory, executive function, attention, perception, and language, as well as social gerontology and the complexities of aging and inequality. This encompasses both typical aging and conditions that impact brain health, such as neurodegenerative diseases and traumatic brain injuries.

The RRI is equipped with cutting-edge facilities that support a range of studies, including behavioral assessments, neuropsychological evaluations, neuroimaging, and computational neuroscience. Our resources include advanced laboratories for eye-tracking, electroencephalography, and magnetoencephalography, along with a dedicated Siemens 3 Tesla MRI.

Research scientists will engage in projects aligned with the expertise of their supervisors, focusing on:

  • Experimental design, data collection, and analysis
  • Quantitative and qualitative assessments of speech narratives
  • Advanced statistical analysis of neuroimaging data
  • Recruitment and testing of research participants
  • Data collection and analysis using MRI, EEG, or MEG
