About the Role

Are you seeking an opportunity to enhance your accounting expertise in a significant work environment that supports and safeguards explorers and innovators?

As a Senior Accountant, you will implement accounting principles to evaluate financial data and generate financial reports, supervise the management of accounts and records in areas such as disbursements, expenses, tax obligations, and revenue. You will compile and assess financial data to document transactions, prepare reports, and verify accuracy. You will generate balance sheets and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports. You will be accountable for the compliance with and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures. Additionally, you will assist accounting management in various functions, including general ledger support, account reconciliations, and other assignments as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and typically 6 or more years of pertinent experience Advanced education may substitute for relevant experience Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Proficient in Excel with a proven ability to manipulate, summarize, and analyze large datasets
• Ability to work independently on assigned projects Consistently seeks to enhance processes and achieve efficiencies, including participation in the testing of new accounting and other system functionalities

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or in progress Proficiency with SAP Familiarity with FAR, DFAR, and CAS Experience in public accounting and related fields Financial management planning/budgeting and forecasting experience

Estimated Starting Salary Range:

$79, $108,989.33
