In alignment with a person and family-centered approach to healthcare, and in accordance with Northern Health's vision for an integrated system of services rooted in Primary Health Care, the Primary Care Dietitian collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to create comprehensive care plans and deliver health services coordinated through the Primary Care Home.
The Dietitian adheres to the professional standards and ethical guidelines established by the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
This role involves providing competent, safe, and ethical care to individuals and their families in various settings, including physician offices, residential homes, facilities, and community environments. The Dietitian applies evidence-informed practices to achieve effective outcomes related to clients' engagement in meaningful activities.
Through thorough clinical assessments, treatment planning, recommended interventions, and follow-up care, the Dietitian plays a vital role in fulfilling the overall care plan developed by the interdisciplinary team, which is informed by the individual’s personal health objectives.
Work Schedule: : 08:00 to 16:00, Monday to Friday
Compensation :
The wage is: $50.87/hour
About the Healthcare Facility is a small acute care hospital that provides essential services, including emergency care, laboratory services, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, and pharmacy. It features a labor/delivery/recovery suite and a palliative care room, along with public health, mental health, addictions, and home and community care services.
Community Overview has a diverse population and serves surrounding areas, offering beautiful wilderness and some of the largest freshwater lakes in the region, making it a popular destination for outdoor activities.

- Successful completion of an accredited dietetic internship program or an equivalent.
- Registered member of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia.
- Minimum of two years of clinical nutrition experience in a healthcare setting or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in specialized programs such as Diabetes Education, Nutrition Support, and Chronic Disease Management.
- Valid driver's license.
