Senior Technology Integration Consultant

Position Overview:
The City of Toronto is seeking a dedicated professional for the role of Senior Systems Integrator Technology Services. This position is pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration of technology solutions across various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops comprehensive strategies and recommends policies/procedures tailored to specific program needs.
- Oversees, inspires, and trains team members, fostering collaboration, high-quality work standards, and continuous improvement.
- Manages daily operations of assigned personnel, including work allocation, performance reviews, and approval of leave requests.
- Contributes to budget management, ensuring expenditures align with approved financial plans.
- Facilitates the design and implementation of corporate standards, including project management methodologies and data architecture.
- Acts as the primary liaison for all project-related matters, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
- Handles project financials, including contract negotiations and feasibility analyses.
- Prepares and supervises the creation of formal contractual documents such as Requests for Proposals and Service Level Agreements.
- Leads the evaluation and selection of technical solutions, managing vendor relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identifies opportunities for cross-divisional initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Negotiates with stakeholders to align project goals and objectives.
- Evaluates emerging technology trends and provides recommendations for effective integration within the organization.
- Analyzes current business processes to recommend technical solutions that leverage existing infrastructure.
- Ensures compliance with security and privacy regulations in data management practices.
- Establishes project management frameworks that comply with various governmental standards.
- Assesses scalable solutions that meet diverse client and business needs, ensuring adherence to corporate policies.
- Educates senior management and staff on technology trends and effective information management practices.
Essential Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience with a focus on technical leadership in large-scale projects.
- Proven experience as a front-end developer with strong leadership and mentoring skills, emphasizing configurable solution designs.
- Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, Web Components, ReactJs, HTML5, CSS3, and hybrid mobile development.
- Experience in maintaining large-scale IT applications and familiarity with best practices in software development.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in digital product development.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality solutions that meet diverse requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
- Experience in data analysis is considered an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work collaboratively in multidisciplinary settings.
- Proficient in preparing and presenting formal documents and proposals to various stakeholders.
