Position Overview
The role of Senior Consultant/Tech Lead in Application Delivery is crucial in shaping the future of data protection at CIBC. This position is part of the Data Protection Services Team within the Financial Crimes & Enterprise Risk Technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Architecture - You will be responsible for the architecture and design of Data Protection Services both on-premises and in the Azure cloud environment. This includes collaborating with various applications that utilize data protection services through diverse integration methods such as Java SDK, Restful API, and Databricks.
- Collaboration and Support - Engage with technology and business partners to facilitate their success by leveraging the data protection services and capabilities developed by the team.
- Strategic Leadership - Partner with Information Security to provide strategic insights and maintain an updated roadmap for the Data Security domain, ensuring alignment with Data Governance and Enterprise Architecture.
- Mentorship and Guidance - Act as a technical lead, offering expertise to project teams and mentoring junior members to foster knowledge sharing and effective problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Proficient in designing and developing Java applications using tools like Maven/OpenShift/AKS, with experience in integrating applications on platforms such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- A minimum of 3 years in a technical lead or senior consultant role, demonstrating strong communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders and present design recommendations.
- Experience in creating scalable data frameworks utilizing Azure technologies such as Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Adaptability to change and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and inspire collaborative outcomes.
- Proficiency in embracing innovative technologies and solutions.
- Commitment to teamwork and accountability, reflecting the core values of CIBC.
