About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Profit Centre Manager to join our team at EMCO Corporation. As a Profit Centre Manager, you will be responsible for developing and leading all business operations at the Profit Centre, driving growth while sustaining consistent profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the Profit Centre Team to achieve sales, gross profit, and profit-sharing goals through recruitment, development, training, coaching, evaluation, and management.
- Determine targeted customer account potential, establish sales goals, and hold the sales team accountable for achieving those goals.
- Analyze financial reports and information to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and margins, improve productivity, and manage assets and expenses.
- Build relationships in the community to understand the marketplace, increase market share, and identify new markets.
- Ensure the Profit Centre meets or exceeds service expectations of customers.
- Take ownership of all marketing plans and purchasing agreements.
- Understand and follow all safety regulations at customer locations and the Profit Centre.
- Safeguard and maintain all Profit Centre assets.
Requirements:
- College and/or University degree.
- A minimum of 3 years of wholesale distribution experience.
- A minimum of 2 years in a management or leadership role.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
- Strong work ethic and high standard of integrity.
- Driven to succeed with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to make sound business judgments.
- Create and nurture a positive team environment.
- Strong desire to strive for operational excellence.
- Understand purchasing and inventory control processes.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre.
- Knowledge of the construction industry.
- Experience using Trend and Eclipse.
