Centre Director Job Description

At EMCO Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Centre Director to lead our team in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing Profit Centre Team to achieve sales, gross profit, and profit-sharing goals.
  • Determine targeted customer account potential and establish sales goals for those accounts, holding the sales team accountable for achieving those goals.
  • Analyze financial reports and develop strategies to increase sales and margins, improve productivity, and manage assets and expenses.
  • Build relationships in the community to understand the marketplace, increase market share, and identify new markets.
  • Ensure the Profit Centre meets or exceeds customer service expectations.
  • Take ownership of marketing plans and purchasing agreements.
  • Understand and follow all safety regulations at customer locations and the Profit Centre.
  • Safeguard and maintain all Profit Centre assets.
Qualifications:
  • College and/or University degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of wholesale distribution experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a management or leadership role.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and high standard of integrity.
  • Driven to succeed with a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to make sound business judgments.
  • Create and nurture a positive team environment.
  • Strong desire to strive for operational excellence.
  • Understand purchasing and inventory control processes.
  • Ability to learn and operate software systems and material handling equipment.
Preferred Skills:
  • Previous experience with or knowledge of plumbing and building products sold at the Profit Centre.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Experience using Trend and Eclipse.
