Plumber Journeyman/Woman

Maple Contractors Ltd. is seeking a skilled Plumber Journeyman/Woman to join our team. As a key member of our plumbing crew, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining domestic, commercial, and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems in various locations, including commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
- Prepare tenders and quotations for plumbing projects.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
- Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
- Schedule personnel, tools, and equipment for plumbing projects.
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
- Supervise other workers on plumbing projects.
- Estimate costs and materials for plumbing projects.
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
- Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification.
- Backflow prevention Certification.
- Member of the Canadian Solar Industries Association (CanSIA).
- North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) solar heating installer Certification.
- Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA).
- Plumber Trade Certification.
- Working at heights training.
- Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) clearance Certificate.
- Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
- First Aid Certificate.
- CPR Certificate.
- Confined Space Entry Training.
- Driver's License (Class 3 or D).
- Well Pump License.
- Natural Gas License.
- Liquefied Petroleum Gas License.
- CADD Course.
- Plumber Red Seal Certificate.
