About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman/Woman Carpenter to join our team at Maple Contractors Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee and coordinate work on construction sites, ensuring timely completion of projects and adherence to quality standards.
  • Carpentry and Construction: Perform a range of carpentry tasks, including preparing estimates, reading blueprints, and measuring, cutting, and assembling materials.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and instruct apprentices, and work collaboratively with other team members to achieve project goals.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate CADD and other computer software systems, as well as various equipment and machinery.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade, or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Carpenter Trade Certification, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training, and other relevant certifications.
  • Language: English.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: At heights, noisy, dusty, and outdoors.
  • Work Setting: Construction, renovation, commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, and working in a fast-paced environment.
