Job Overview

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures and systems across various sectors.
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine plumbing layouts.
  • Prepare estimates and quotations for plumbing projects.
  • Mark and locate positions for pipe connections and fixtures.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors for pipe installation.
  • Utilize various methods to join pipes securely.
  • Schedule and manage personnel and equipment for plumbing tasks.
  • Conduct tests on pipes to ensure leak-free installations.
  • Supervise and guide junior staff as needed.
  • Estimate project costs and required materials.
  • Operate computer-aided design (CADD) software for plumbing layouts.
  • Measure, cut, and shape pipes to meet specifications.
Certifications

Relevant certifications include:

  • Aerial lift and work platform certification
  • Backflow prevention certification
  • Plumber trade certification
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Confined space entry training
  • Driver's license (Class 3 or D)
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
  • Capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Must be able to lift heavy loads.
