Job Title: Child & Youth Care Workers - Casual

At School District No. 42 (Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows), we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for our students. We are seeking qualified Child & Youth Care Workers to join our team on a casual basis.

About the Role:

We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with children and youth, and who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. As a Child & Youth Care Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms, playgrounds, and community programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group support to students with diverse needs and abilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement and motivation
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and inclusive school culture
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma or degree in a related field, such as Child and Youth Care or Education
  • Experience working with children and youth in a school or community setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
