About the Role

We are seeking a Casual Child and Youth Care Worker to join our team at School District #42 (Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows). As a Casual Child and Youth Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the social and emotional learning of students within our school communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of universal, targeted, and intensive supports to foster social/emotional learning within school communities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and other stakeholders to provide a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and community members.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of Grade 12 and a Child/Youth Care Worker Diploma.
  • Experience working directly with at-risk students is an asset.
  • Ability to work harmoniously and communicate effectively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Successful completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training.
  • Valid B.C. Driver's license.
