Philanthropic Development and Alumni Engagement Officer

Philanthropy and Alumni Relations Coordinator
Reporting to the Philanthropic Development Director, the successful candidate will assist the Philanthropy and Alumni Relations office by executing the following responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Address donor inquiries effectively;
- Organize and follow up with donors (including preparing agreements and notifying relevant departments);
- Collaborate with administrative personnel to ensure seamless information flow regarding scholarship funds;
- Maintain donor records (updating information, archiving documents, etc.);
- Prepare donor-related information (including budgets) across various systems and ensure proper archiving;
- Assist with managing in-kind donations;
- Prepare necessary documents for receipt issuance;
- Participate in the planning of sector events and activities;
- Generate reports for donors;
- Anticipate and address philanthropic development needs;
- Provide administrative assistance to the philanthropic development director;
- Process invoice payments, payment requests, and purchasing requests;
- Organize business travel and prepare travel reports;
- Review scholarship fund nomenclature for graduation ceremonies;
- Execute other related tasks as necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A post-secondary degree is required; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered;
- Several years of experience in philanthropy or a related field;
- Proven ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with donors, alumni, and supporters;
- Experience in financial management;
- Strong communication skills;
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively;
- Excellent writing skills in French;
- Empathy, diplomacy, and strong interpersonal skills;
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities;
- Initiative, sound judgment, discretion, and organizational skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and eagerness to learn new software;
- Fluent in French with a good command of English.
ASSETS:
- Familiarity with Ellucian and ACCESS databases;
- Understanding of the academic environment.

$62,000 - $72,000 per year.
