Sability is a leading provider of Human Capital Management (HCM) services, and we're seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team.
Job Summary:We're looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to process and reconcile Canadian payroll for our UKG Pro clients. As a key member of our HCM Managed Services team, you'll provide timely and accurate financial information while engaging in day-to-day payroll operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and reconcile Canadian payroll for multiple clients
- Provide timely and accurate financial information
- Perform basic analysis and research related to payroll processing
- Assist the Team Lead and Manager in reconciling payroll inputs and outputs
- Identify areas of client dissatisfaction and escalate to Team Lead and/or Payroll Manager
- Develop and maintain awareness of SOC 1 controls and ensure compliance
- Handle setup and execution of new payroll cycles, including manual HR and Pay Data Entry
- Perform pre-calculation audits, variance reports, and payroll balancing
- Assist clients with annual enrollment and testing
- Experience working with automated multi-corporation, multi-state payroll processing
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll tax and accounting principles, plus wage and hour laws
- Proficient in using PC with MS Office applications, especially Word and Excel
- Human Resource and Payroll Experience with a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), and/or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred
- Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting (or equivalent in education and experience)
