Job Summary:

We're looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our HCM Managed Services team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate processing and reconciliation of our UKG Pro clients' Canadian payroll.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and reconcile Canadian payroll for multiple clients
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information
  • Engage in day-to-day payroll operations
  • Perform basic analysis and research related to payroll processing
  • Assist the Team Lead and Manager in reconciling all inputs and outputs of payroll processing
  • Identify areas of client dissatisfaction and escalate to Team Lead and/or Payroll Manager
  • Develop and maintain awareness of SOC 1 controls and ensure compliance
  • Handle setup and execution of new payroll cycles
  • Perform pre-calculation audits and run variance reports
Requirements:
  • Experience working with automated multi-corporation, multi-state payroll processing
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian payroll tax and accounting principles
  • Wage and hour laws knowledge
  • Proficient in using PC with MS Office applications
  • Human Resource and Payroll Experience with a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), and/or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred
  • Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting (or equivalent in education and experience)
