About the Role

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Public Health Nurse to join our team in Sechelt, BC. As a Public Health Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting and protecting the health and well-being of individuals, families, and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement public health programs and services to promote healthy behaviors and prevent disease.
  • Conduct health assessments and provide health education to individuals and groups.
  • Collaborate with community partners to identify and address health needs and develop solutions.
  • Provide counseling, teaching, and coaching to individuals and groups on healthy behaviors and disease prevention.
  • Participate in research and evaluation to inform public health practice and policy.
Requirements
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Completion of specialty nursing certificate/certified practice (BCCNM) as applicable and two (2) years' recent, related public health nursing experience.
  • Valid BC Driver's license and access to personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
