Role Summary: As the Senior Manager of Market Access, you will spearhead the development of comprehensive pricing and reimbursement frameworks, including the necessary business justifications to support these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Pricing and Reimbursement Strategy:

  • Take ownership of the Canadian pricing and reimbursement strategy, ensuring cohesive support across various functions and alignment with both local and global leadership.
  • Collaborate with a field-based access team and cross-functional partners to implement effective access strategies and initiatives.

Business Case Development:

  • Lead the formulation of launch pricing and net pricing business cases, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (pricing, forecasting, brand management, field team leadership) to secure necessary approvals.
  • Create a clear and compelling narrative surrounding the pricing and reimbursement strategy and financial evaluations.

Value Proposition Development:

  • Oversee the creation of value propositions that underpin the pricing and reimbursement strategy, utilizing insights from a dynamic team of cross-functional collaborators (Global Pricing and Reimbursement, Health Outcomes, Medical Affairs, Marketing, Regional Market Access).

Comprehensive Value Dossiers:

  • Manage the development and delivery of high-quality value dossiers for national and regional health technology assessment bodies and payers (both public and private).
  • Lead the planning and formulation of robust clinical and economic arguments.
  • Influence the outcomes of therapeutic class evaluations impacting Lilly products conducted by health technology assessment agencies or provincial drug plans.

Pricing and Contracting:

  • Drive the creation of innovative value-based pricing models, including negotiations and product listing agreements in collaboration with a core cross-functional team.
  • Advocate for business cases that support product listing structures and pricing through affiliate and global approval channels.
  • Provide necessary insights for payer customers requiring supplemental pricing and reimbursement dossiers, budget impact analyses, and forecasts to secure or enhance access to Lilly products.

Brand Business Planning and Support:

  • Act as the primary advocate for pricing and reimbursement input into key strategic and business planning processes within the affiliate and relevant cross-functional initiatives.
  • Serve as the pricing and reimbursement expert for sales and marketing teams on reimbursement matters and inquiries.

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in health sciences, business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in market access.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in market access, particularly within diabetes, oncology, immunology, or neuroscience therapeutics is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively and engage effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, adept at interpreting complex data from diverse sources (clinical, health economic, financial) to formulate successful market access strategies and develop business cases.
  • Bilingual proficiency.
