Job Title: Senior Manager, Communications and Marketing

Join the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) team as a Senior Manager, Communications and Marketing. This role will support IBAC with all its marketing and communication needs across our four pillars.

About the Role

This is a key leadership position that will oversee the development, coordination, and execution of strategic marketing initiatives that align with our organizational goals. You will be responsible for developing and managing comprehensive marketing programs and campaigns, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute marketing and communication strategies, including digital marketing, content creation, social media, and public relations.
  • Oversee the execution of marketing and communication projects, ensuring timely delivery, within scope, and budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, executive-level stakeholders, and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring all deliverables are met according to plan.
  • Lead and facilitate meetings, providing clear communication on project status and progress to stakeholders.
  • Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to keep projects on track.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation within the marketing team.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management capability, serving as a liaison between third-party entities, partners, member associations, SMEs, executive leadership, and internal teams.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or project management, preferably in a B2B or B2C environment. Experience in the insurance industry is considered an asset.
  • Proven track record of managing complex marketing projects from conception through completion.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, content strategy, and brand management.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with marketing automation tools, project management software, and data analytics platforms.
