Probation Officer/Community Youth Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Probation Officer/Community Youth Specialist to join our team at the Government of Saskatchewan. As a key member of our Community Corrections team, you will play a vital role in providing supervision and rehabilitative services to adults and young offenders.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with adolescents and adults in a diverse and dynamic environment, providing programs and services to meet their unique needs.
- Collaborate with community agencies, organizations, and government personnel to ensure effective case management and support.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop and implement case management plans to promote positive outcomes.
- Develop and initiate programming and interventions to address contributing factors of criminal behavior.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Work with victims of criminal offenses to provide support and guidance.
- Master's degree in human services or a related field, such as Social Work, Indigenous Social Work, Human Justice, Education, Arts: Justice Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Police Studies, or Indigenous Studies.
- Grandfathering provisions may be considered for candidates with acceptable correctional and/or human behavioral work experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
This position requires flexibility and adaptability, with occasional evening work and travel required. A strong commitment to workplace diversity and inclusion is essential.
