Job Title: Facility Youth Worker
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facility Youth Worker to join our team at the Government of Saskatchewan. As a Facility Youth Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting the rehabilitation and reintegration of youth in our correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement programs and services to support the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of youth in our facilities.
- Collaborate with correctional staff, community partners, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to youth rehabilitation.
- Provide individual and group counseling, life skills training, and education to support youth in achieving their goals and reintegration into the community.
- Conduct assessments and develop plans to address the needs of youth, including risk assessments and behavioral interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement and expansion.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary degree in a related field, such as social work, psychology, or education.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with youth in a correctional or community setting.
- Strong knowledge of youth development principles, theories, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
