Inventory Management Associate

The Opportunity
As a vital member of our team, you will oversee the secure handling of industrial products within our facility. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that our branches are consistently stocked by managing the shipping and receiving of goods, verifying their accuracy, and processing orders efficiently. You will also assist in maintaining the warehouse by organizing inventory, performing cleanliness tasks, and operating a forklift to facilitate the movement of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the receipt of goods into inventory, including unpacking and confirming contents against relevant documentation; ensure accurate entry of received items into the inventory management system.
- Prepare shipments in accordance with packing slip details, selecting and packaging items for dispatch based on customer and branch requirements.
- Ensure compliance with best practices and customer specifications during the shipping process.
- Maintain Bills of Lading and coordinate with carriers to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Organize shelves with incoming shipments, utilizing appropriate sorting systems and equipment, including forklifts.
- File packing slips from suppliers and colleagues; generate service and production documents as necessary.
- Complete a daily log of forklift operations.
- Uphold a clean and organized warehouse environment at all times.
- Perform additional tasks such as local pickups and deliveries as needed.
- Operate forklifts and other equipment safely within the work area.
The Ideal Candidate
- Education: High School diploma; valid Forklift certification; valid driver's license with insurability.
- Experience: 1-2 years in a similar capacity.
- Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
