About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Interventionist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and coordination of clinical treatment programs for children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The Clinical Interventionist will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide a holistic, client-centered approach to care. This includes collaborating with community partners and organizations to ensure comprehensive support for children and their families.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a Master's degree in Psychology and registration/licensure with the appropriate professional regulatory organization. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience working with children with behavioral and neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly ASD.

Key qualifications include:

  • Extensive experience working with children with ASD
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in intervention for young children with ASD
  • Demonstrated expertise with the DSM-IV diagnostic system, case management, and behavioral management
  • Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement treatment plans to promote positive adaptive behaviors, independence, and skills development
  • Previous experience providing supervision and leadership within a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Valid Nova Scotia driver's license
  • Competencies in other languages an asset
Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent part-time (60%) position with 45 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $49.05, with opportunities for advancement and professional growth.
