At SIIT, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. As the first point of contact for internal and external clients, you will provide exceptional administrative support to our staff and ensure the smooth operation of our office systems.
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of SIIT's functions, purposes, and programs to answer and direct routine inquiries. You will also provide professional administrative support to our direct supervisor and back up coverage as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating meeting requests, including booking rooms, setting up technology requirements, and arranging catering and refreshments
- Assisting in the coordination and administration of training programs under the supervision of the job coach and manager
- Providing support to clients with forms, resume creation, job searching, and other activities
- Collecting and entering statistical information into SIIT's Training Administration System and CAN-SASK monthly forms under the direction of the Manager
- Performing CAN-SASK client follow-ups under supervision of Manager
- Managing and administering the Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) and Safety Construction Orientation Training (SCOT)
Required qualifications and experience include a successful completion of an office education certificate, combined with two years of relevant office management experience. Prior experience working with Microsoft Office suite of programs is required. Knowledge of First Nations culture and organizations would be an asset.
Required competencies include flexible and adaptable, effective communication, relationship building, results-oriented, client focus, attention to detail, and teamwork.
