Position Summary

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Procurement Co-Op Intern. This position is based in our operational office.

The Procurement Intern will play a vital role in supporting purchasing activities aligned with the established budget and forecasting strategies to meet organizational requirements. This role will also focus on identifying opportunities and executing initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing purchasing activities related to indirect materials.
  • Support Purchase Order management, inventory oversight, and supplier payment processes.
  • Identify and implement strategies to boost site efficiencies.
  • Track supplier performance, particularly regarding delivery schedules, and inform relevant teams of potential supply chain challenges.
  • Assist in the procurement of indirect materials, including industrial supplies, safety equipment, janitorial products, waste management solutions, and lubricants as needed.
  • Oversee KANBAN/Min-Max systems to manage inventory levels effectively.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with sourcing and procurement methodologies.
  • Experience with various MRP/ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation and collaboration abilities.
  • Well-developed organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
