About the Role

We are seeking a Co-op or Intern to join our Tax team for a period of 4 months, starting in January 2025. As a Co-op or Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks and projects, including:

  1. Preparing Tax Returns

You will assist in preparing simple personal tax returns for a variety of non-corporate clients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

  1. Communicating with Clients and CRA

You will communicate with clients and the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to resolve tax inquiries and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.

  1. Collaborating with Team Members

You will work closely with team members to share progress updates and ensure seamless communication.

  1. Building Client Relationships

You will build relationships directly with clients to understand their tax history and provide value-added tax compliance services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist in preparing tax returns and other tax-related documents
  2. Communicate with clients and CRA to resolve tax inquiries
  3. Collaborate with team members to share progress updates
  4. Build relationships with clients to understand their tax needs

Requirements

  1. Currently working towards a degree or diploma in accounting
  2. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
  3. Proven leadership skills and ability to take initiative
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
