Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Lab Patient Technician to join our team at LifeLabs. As a key member of our clinical laboratory team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and interact with patients, explaining the specimen collection process and ensuring they follow necessary test protocols.
  • Perform phlebotomies, connect/disconnect holter monitors, and conduct ECG tracings with precision and care.
  • Collect and prepare specimens for transportation and testing, maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, responding to inquiries and following up on requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Enter patient data and requisition information into our system, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent.
  • Phlebotomy experience and a strong understanding of laboratory procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, clients, and healthcare professionals.
  • Good computer skills and a minimum typing speed of 40 wpm.
  • Ability to maintain the strictest standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
