About the Role:
Minto Group is seeking a skilled Construction Technician to join our team. As a Construction Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Construction Team in delivering high-quality construction projects from framing to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Construction Team in delivering construction projects on schedule and within budget.
- Identify and assess deficiencies, and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service by seeking opportunities to assist homeowners and deliver a positive experience.
- Present yourself in a professional and customer-focused manner in all interactions with homeowners.
- Review, assess, and report any safety issues to the Health & Safety Representative or direct supervisor.
- Complete repair lists resulting from quality control inspections.
- Report defects and damages to the Foreman if applicable.
- Conduct interior repairs on windows, doors, frames, baseboards, floors, and other areas as required.
- Conduct carpentry finishing and repairs as required.
- Prepare houses for inspections, including City and customer inspections.
- Ensure the complete cleanup of homes inside and out.
Requirements:
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- General knowledge of residential construction repairs.
- Strong communication skills.
- An eye for detail and someone who takes direction well.
- A liking for great customer service and helping out fellow coworkers.
- Confidence in working alone and as part of a team.
