Job Summary
McLean Hospital is seeking a skilled Mental Health Tech to join our team. As a Mental Health Tech, you will provide direct patient care and participate in therapeutic milieu under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely documentation of patient information, including AFS, progress notes, and observation sheets.
- Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, maintaining professional boundaries and identifying patient behaviors that contribute to crisis situations.
- Participate in planning and implementation of patient groups and active milieu assessment while assigned to checks, particularly attuned to safety concerns.
- Assist patients in their activities of daily living and provide support in a caring work environment.
Requirements
- Employment at McLean Hospital is contingent upon a successful CORI (Criminal Background Check), National Background Check, and clearance from the Occupational Health Department.
- Employees in this position are eligible for shift differentials.
