Credit Manager

The Credit Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting credit activities across designated market areas. This position requires collaboration with General Managers to enhance profitability by empowering market area staff to maximize customer revenues while effectively managing risk.
Key Responsibilities:- Safety: Serve as a role model in safety, leadership, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement to align with the company's vision and critical success factors.
- Collections: Lead credit & collections activities for the market area, adhering to Company expectations and Credit Policies, including credit approvals, risk management, timely collections, and resolving collection problems.
- Credit Reporting & Analysis: Process credit approvals, write-offs to bad debt, and resolve disputes. Evaluate the Bad Debt Reserve and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Risk Mitigation: Ensure adherence to Credit Policy and provide oversight, support, and consultation for collections, credit applications, payment applications, and strategic/difficult customer accounts to minimize credit loss risk.
- Automation: Establish a close working relationship with the centralized Credit & Collections team to maximize performance and ensure financial services centers achieve collection targets.
- Process Management & Improvement: Drive efficiency and simplification of processes, aligning with automation and digital transformation. Enable improvements in processes and controls while maintaining standardization.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or relevant educational background.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a construction credit environment, with progressively responsible positions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial information.
- Proficiency in an ERP system, preferably SAP.
- Demonstrated focus on process improvement, preferably with related experience.
This role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to influence and develop strategic relationships, and a focus on process improvement. The successful candidate will be bilingual in English/French and have a strong working knowledge of credit principles and best practices.
